Tree man has a quest for you (9/10/23)

I saw a tree when out with my dogs and thought ‘that looks like a person’. And thus: tree man. This was my first time drawing in this art style, and I’m really pleased with how it came out and how expressive he is despite his minimal face.

This was inspired by the tree man (prev image). I thought it would be cool to have a whole world of plant-based NPCs. This one, as a mage, would sell potions and spell ingredients.

I followed directions from a How-To book for these. I’ve never tried drawing dragons before, but I love fantasy and I wanted to try drawing some creatures that could feature in a fantasy game.

Deadpool (17/10/23)

I started both of these pieces on the same day. The piece on the left took 3 hours, and the piece on the right took 11 and a half. I wanted to try drawing a character I know well in two very different styles, and I like how both turned out. I think they both show his expression effectively.

I tried a slightly updated version of the same style as the tree man and the mushroom mage. I like the contrast of the shading and the outline.
